Story
I'm Laura Seymour and I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and founder of TorchLight Financial.
Hi there!
Laura founded TorchLight to provide comprehensive, advice-focused planning and investment management advisory services to clients approaching retirement. Laura works directly with clients in the development and implementation of their financial plan and strategies. Laura has over 15 years of financial planning experience as well as 11 years of building and operating her own financial planning business. Education, empowerment and the client experience are all important to Laura. Effective communication skills and personalized advice for each client’s specific situation are key to the TorchLight service model.
Personal financial planning has been a passion for Laura since she taught herself about money concepts from an early age. She worked on her family’s small dairy farm in rural Minnesota; she saved money from babysitting and part-time jobs in middle and high school to fund her own college experience as well as working throughout college. Laura has always had a strong work ethic and passion for knowledge and helping others. Laura graduated Summa Cum Laude from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER credentials in 2010.
